About West End Tavern

The West End Tavern opened its doors on June 15, 1986, having restored what was once a classic American saloon resembling those that were scattered throughout the New York boroughs during the 1930's and 40's.

The Tavern began serving Sunday brunch featuring classic gourmet brunch items not typically found on area menus, including large size Mimosas (champagne and orange juice) in oversized wine glasses and beautifully garnished with fresh flowers. That idea spawned a Saturday morning tradition of our ala carte breakfast AND lunch menu with the focus surrounding our original "Create Your Own" Bloody Mary Bar. Now over twenty some years later, the idea of a bloody mary bar has grown in popularity and has proliferated from our Tavern in Lakewood, Ohio across the country in various bars and restaurants. The whole craze originated right here!

Perhaps the single greatest distinction after twenty seven years for the West End Tavern is that we have heard from well over fifty couples who met here and were eventually MARRIED! Where in the world have you heard anyone making that distinction? Love is in the air at the West End Tavern!
